A BRAVE WARRIOR
Before this world had started
Before our lives began
God assigned us all our challenges
Some hard things to withstand
Each of us were given
Some difficult things to do
But God gave his bravest warriors
An extra burden too
So you came to this earth in a body
Broken and quite ill
But life could never take from you
A solid, determined will
You kept your face turned toward the sunshine
Trapped in a body that only knew rain
And chose to see the joys in life
In spite of all the pain
And though your body was oft' connected
To needles, machines and tubes
You bravely faced each day with them
While expressing gratitude
For the chance of simply being here
Though to us it didn't seem fair
To see someone as special as you
Suffer in a body beyond repair
So when you'd honorably completed
Every trial you were assigned
God chose to bring you back to him
Freeing your bright spirit and mind

Our Gorgeous Wee Man
Early on the first of an october morn
Our Beautiful baby Called Lewis was born
He Shone with life and dreams yet to be
He clenched his fists and smiled at me.
Everyhing was great but wasn't to last
And with only twenty eight hours had past,
The news of his illness had just come to light
Our world was shattered in one painful night.
As the weeks went past it began to get Brighter
His smile was back his fists got tighter
Christmas was great and so full of joy
We were at home as a family with our darling wee boy.
Not Long was to pass no warning was given
he was taken from us to shine up in heaven
Sleep well now Lewis, Fists as tight as you can
We love you so much our gorgeous wee man
